Mr. Mantle practiced immigration law with a leading corporate immigration law firm, where he handled complex immigration matters for small businesses, Fortune 100 corporations, and individuals, including extraordinary ability aliens, multinational managers, and E-2 investors.

Attorney Advisor, Executive Office for Immigration Review

Mr. Mantle was appointed under the U.S. Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program as Attorney Advisor in the Executive Office for Immigration Review, where he drafted decisions and orders for Immigration Judges in asylum, national security, and other removal cases.

Legal Editor/Interpreter, Technology–Assisted Language Learning

Mr. Mantle served as legal editor in a language learning project for foreign judges and lawyers produced by the Technology-Assisted Language Learning lab at Brigham Young University. Mr. Mantle also served as an interpreter for visiting judges from China.

Mr. Mantle earned his law degree, with honors, from the J. Reuben Clark School of Law at Brigham Young University, a top-tier law school ranked among the best in the U.S. Mr. Mantle received the J. Reuben Clark Public Interest Service Award for his work in helping to establish an immigrant outreach program. He also served as Publications Editor for the BYU Education & Law Journal.

Bachelor of Arts, Chinese and Asian Studies

Mr. Mantle received his Bachelor's degree in Chinese and Asian Studies from Brigham Young University. His studies and focus on international issues and communication provides an insightful understanding of the challenges faced by immigrants as they seek to integrate into their community. During his undergraduate studies, Mr. Mantle taught Cantonese and published a study on language attrition among Mandarin students.

Personal

D.Ray Mantle speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and conversational Cantonese. He grew up in a border town in South Texas, and has lived and worked in immigrant communities in such places as Vancouver, Canada and Los Angeles, California. His immigration practice is located in one of the fastest growing communities in the Dallas area. Mr. Mantle's happiest time is spent with his wife and four children.
